There's Something Wrong With The Children tells the story of a small town where some of the residents (Margaret and Ben) decided to embark on a weekend trip with long time friends (Ellie, Thomas and the rest), there and then, the children suddenly started behaving strange; in frightening ways after disappearing into woods overnight. These friends later discovered that the children were possessed by a dark-powerful force, therefore, they needed to reinforce in order to stop the ugly situation before things get out of hand.




The movie was masterfully shot, with a great attention to detail and atmosphere. The director did an excellent job of building tension and suspense; keeping the audience on the edge of their seats throughout the film. Special effects observed are also top-notch, including the makeup and prosthetics used to create the possessed children are truly chilling. More also, the acting aspect is noteworthy; lead actors did a great job of bringing their characters to life, and the supporting cast is equally strong. The dialogue was well-written, and the characters are well-developed; making it easy for the audience to become invested in their struggles.


One of the strongest aspects of the film was its exploration of the theme of parenting. The film depicts the difficulties of being a parent and the challenges of protecting one's children from harm. The movie also threw light on the fear of losing control over one's own children, including the sense of helplessness that can come with it.
